IMTC High Performance

Toptenn Performance Squads operate as a high-performance academy model out of the Ian Mason Tennis Centre in Leason Street, Kew East. Athletes are immersed in a structured system that integrates technical mastery, physical preparation, tactical intelligence and mental resilience into every training block.

Technical Development

  • Full stroke development across all phases: baseline, net play, transition, serve/return.

  • Emphasis on repeatable mechanics under pressure.

  • Progressions from isolated drills to live ball into point play.

Tactical Identity & Match Play IQ

  • Pattern building: serve +1, return +1, directional control, defensive to neutral to offense transitions.

  • Opponent analysis: tendencies, preferred patterns, weaknesses.

  • Developing a personal game identity (aggressive baseliner, all‑court, counterpuncher, net rusher.

Equipment IQ

  • Learn all things strings and racquets, grips and how they benefit different game styles

  • Adjustments to make in different weather/environmental influences

  • Changes to make for injury management/prevention.

  • Restring knowledge – great skill for upcoming tennis players to help manage costs of the sport and potential income stringing for friends and family.

  • Strength training for power and injury prevention.

  • Speed and agility work tailored to tennis movement patterns.

  • Endurance and repeat‑sprint conditioning.

  • Encouraging good recovery routines (mobility, stretching, sleep habits).

  • Reviewing patterns, decision‑making, and point construction.
